This is the 5th Annual Bicycle Film Festival. As usual, the
festival includes screenings of feature-length films and shorts
that have something to do with, well, bicycles. This year’s
festival features the premiere of two documentaries, Still We
Ride and Bikes Against Bush about the events
surrounding last summer’s Republican National Convention that
resulted in the arrests of hundreds of cyclists in New York
City. Jonas Mekas and Virginie Marchand ‘s film I Killed
Myself All Night Long, Jonas Please Lend Me a Bicycle to Become
Famous also makes its debut. Fast-paced action and
excitement are featured in Messenger, the story of
Alfred, one of the fastest messengers in NYC; the classic A
Sunday In Hell, the 1976 film about the Paris-Roubaix race;
and Joe Kid on a Stingray: the History of BMX
