The New York International Boat Show features over 1,000 boats of all sizes, shapes and types plus the pricey accessories, gear and giftware you need to go with them. Free fishing, boating and safety seminars, giveaways, demonstrations and conservation displays. Model boat racing, casting contests and other activities for kids and young-at-heart boating enthusiasts

This year features a homage to Bond, James Bond, and boats that have appeared in the fast-paced 007 flicks. Five Bond boats will be on display: the Tow Sled from Thunderball; Blofeld's Bath-o-Sub from Diamonds Are Forever; Moonraker's Glastron Amazon Chase Boat; the Neptune Submarine used in For Your Eyes Only; and Q's Jet Boat from The World Is Not Enough. Also on hand are props (some reproductions) used in the making of a number of Bond films. Are you really Bond struck? Enough so to dress as your favorite 007 film character? Then you're in luck. Wednesday, January 4th is Bond Day. Dress as your favorite character from one of the five films above and get two bucks off your admission

And best of all, the show offers advice on how to choose the best craft for your needs and budget so you don't get caught up in the old saw, "A boat is just a hole in the water that you fill with money"
