is a celebration of Native American culture. The Pow Wow includes
dancers, singers, Native American arts and jewelry, food vendors,
and a mechanical bull riding contest. A main attraction is the
drum competition in classes from tiny tots to adults and features
dances such as the Pura Women's Fancy Dance, Chicken Dance and Grass
Dance. And be sure not to miss the Grand Entry of Dancers,
Saturday and Sunday at 1:00P
The Redhawk Indian Arts Council
provides a range of educational programs, workshops and traveling
exhibits. In addition to programs centered on the Native American
peoples of the Southwest, Northern Plains and Eastern Woodlands
the Council has recently added a Caribbean Cultural Department
with a focus on helping New York's large population of Caribbean
people understand more about their culture
