Roseland Ballroom had been
well known for dancing to big band sounds from the Thirties
through the early Nineties. It started showing its age, becoming a
bit ratty-tatty around the edges. It's now mostly used as a venue
for corporate events and New
York City concerts. The house really comes alive each June
with the annual performance of
Broadway Bares,
when theater folks take it off for a good cause
