Mostly Mozart You know it's
summer in the City when Mozart comes to Lincoln Center. The Mostly
Mozart Festival Orchestra kicks off the 2006 season on Friday, July 28th,
with a free preview concert (tickets available at Avery Fisher
Hall starting July 27th at 10:00A). This season features performances by
Garrick Ohlsson, Sergey Khachatryan, Gideon Kremer & Kremerata Baltica,
the Leipzig String Quartet, Alexei Lubimov, Christian Zacharias,
Elina Garanea, Sarband, Concerto Koln and the US premiere of the
Peter Sellars-directed Zaide, Mark Morris Dance Group's
world premiere of Morris's Mozart Dances,
Emanuel Ax, Joshua Bell, Lisa Batiashvilli, Lars Vogt, the
Emerson String Quartet, Les Arts Florissants' interpretation of
Idomeno, and many others. And A Little Night Music presents intimate
recitals by some great artists It all adds up to a great musical summer in
New York City ending with, yes, not one, but two closing night
galas
