First
off, Hotel 17 is not recommended for young folk, in fact, children
under 18 are not allowed. This little New York hotel's claims to
fame are fourfold: it was once called the Warhol factory of the
90's; Entertainment Weekly voted Hotel 17 in the top 10 coolest
movie locations; and Woody Allen used it in Manhattan Murder
Mystery; many of the rooms have appeared in photo shoots for
some of the world's top fashion magazines. The location is great, E
17th Street is a fairly quiet street with nearby subway at Union
Square that will get you around town in a flash and the Union
Square, Flatiron District and Gramercy Park neighborhoods have a
whole lot of great places to eat and party. A short stroll downtown
puts you in the East Village and Greenwich Village; just a few
blocks west of the hotel is Chelsea
