The Marriott Financial Center Hotel
has been completely redone and again offers everything you would
expect in a full-service business hotel. What was once a very good
hotel is now an excellent hotel. Public areas are done up with
marble and wood -- nothing chi chi or froo froo here.
Guest rooms and suites are traditional and very comfortable. The
cream of the crop here are the Harbor View rooms that look out over
the bay, some with views of the Statue of Liberty. Very pricey, very
impressive. The one thing that can't change from the hotel's earlier
incarnation is the location, directly across from the World
Financial Center and a few short blocks from Wall Street. New York
is a walking city, and the Downtown area is perfect for it as
everything seems to be just a stroll away, perfect for a family
doing the downtown sites and attractions (if you happen to get a
good weekend rate)
