Photo of Dylan New York City hotel guest roomWe haven't had a chance to check out the Dylan, one of New York's newest hotels, but there are a few things we know about it. The hotel is in a grand, old, landmark building, formerly the Chemists Club, that has been lovingly renovated and restored. You'll be very impressed when the taxi pulls up in front to drop you off. Also, the Dylan is home to Nyla, the new Britney Spears inspired restaurant. Not sure how impressed you'll be with that. Now, here's what the folks at the Dylan have to say about their hot property, "The Dylan is a first-class hotel that offers luxury for the travelers who appreciate classic style, originality and craftsmanship. The hotel embraces the future while retaining the best of the past. With 11-foot ceilings, the guest rooms feel more spacious than the average Manhattan hotel room. The design is quiet and tailored featuring cream and mauve walls, deep amethyst carpeting and custom ebony stained furniture. The hotel promises to be pleasurable to even the most experienced traveler." And a few notes from us about the neighborhood: The Dylan is located on the edge of Murray Hill, one of Manhattan's quietest, most genteel areas, boasting many brownstone buildings and townhouses. It's a hop and a skip to Grand Central Terminal and the NY Public Library and within walking distance of a large swath of Midtown, from the Empire Building at 34th Street to Central Park at 59th Street, with Rockefeller Center, Herald Square shopping and the Theater District in between
