Says Let's call the Jolly Madison Towers an upscale
tourist-class New York City hotel. The hotel was completely
remodeled in 1994 and has recently undergone another round of
refurbishment. The lobby is especially striking for a hotel of this
size, open and airy, a lot of marble, true to its 1920s grand hotel
roots. The rooms -- as most in NYC -- are on the small side, but are
fresh and clean, tastefully decorated in an Italian-influenced,
traditional American theme (however that works). The location of the
Jolly
Madison is its selling point. Located in the heart of quiet Murray
Hill, it is a stone's throw-or a brisk walk or short cab ride-away
from the Empire State Building, Macy's and Herald Square, Penn
Station, Madison Square Garden, Javits Convention Center, Grand
Central Terminal, the United Nations…well, you get the idea. The
Murray Hill neighborhood offers many dining options and the hotel is
within easy reach of the of-the-moment nightspots in the Flatiron
District and along Park Avenue South
