Susie
Says "This is nice!" says Susie as she walks
into the Roger Williams' lobby. Large expanses of glass combined
with light wood floors and paneling make the lobby area very bright
and spacious. The theme is carried over to the somewhat small rooms,
making them appear much larger. Modern, Japanese-inspired decor is
both comfortable and functional, making this a good buy for either
business or pleasure. Continental breakfast and ongoing
complimentary coffee service is served on a spacious mezzanine
overlooking the lobby.
No cocktails; the hotel is located next to a church, so it does not
have a liquor license. This is one of our favorites and the quiet
Murray Hill location is one of the best features. Convenient to the
Empire State Building, the Morgan Library and on the edge of the
trendy Flatiron District, the neighborhood offers every service you
need and is home to many dining and entertainment options in all
price ranges. Grab a bite at an inexpesnive Indian restaurant along
"Curry Hill" (Lexington Avenue), or hop over to Park
Avenue South for a great meal and night on the town at one of the
new, glitzy nightspots (whichever one it might be at the moment)
