Says I didn't care much for this hotel under its
previous management. Maybe now that the folks at La Quinta have
taken it over thing will get a bit better. I only had time for a
very brief in and out look this past Spring, but I can say that the
place has been spiffed up a bit. They seem to have tried to go with
an ersatz Deco-style design in the lobby; the best I can say is that
it's inoffensive if you're able to ignore it as you walk through.
Room furnishings are standard La Quinta motel-type -- functional. If
you don't need or expect anything special and can get in at a
halfway decent rate this can be a good choice. The
La Quinta Manhattan Hotel is very convenient to the Empire State Building, Madison
Square Garden, Herald Square and the Javits Convention Center, and smack
in the middle of some of the finest Korean restaurants in NYC
