Formerly
Churchill Residence Suites, the folks at Korman Communities took
everything down to the building's walls when they renovated this
property, gutting and rebuilding much of it in the process. The room
sizes haven't changed though, you still get a
spacious one-bedroom apartment suite with a separate living room, bedroom, kitchen and
bath. As of this writing the hotel is due to open sometime in mid
December. We'll report back a soon as we have a chance to eyeball it
That said, with its' great location
this is a hotel to consider for your trip to New York City. The hotel
is located in the Turtle Bay neighborhood, on a fairly quiet
residential street, just down the street from
the United Nations. It is very much within walking distance of all Midtown
businesses and tourist attractions, including the Theater District,
Rockefeller Center, Empire State Bulding and much more. The
neighborhood is home to the great Palm, Palm Too, Sparks and Smith
& Wollensky steakhouses as well as, along 2nd Avenue, many
neighborhood eateries and pubs
