What Susie says about the Best Western Hospitality House, a New York City hotelSusie Says  The last time we stopped by the Hospitality House back in ought-ought it was not a Best Western property. The operators were billing it more as a New York City bed and breakfast, albeit without the coziness one usually associates with a b&b. At that time we said: "These 1- and 2-bedroom apartments are in a restored 1890 building and very spacious by Manhattan standards. Everything is fresh, neat and clean. The fully-equipped kitchen is great for families who wish to save their bucks for a couple of really good New York City meals; a supermarket a couple of blocks away on 2nd Avenue makes grocery shopping very convenient (maybe we'll bump into you)." We haven't stopped in since it became part of the Best Western chain, but by the photos it looks like they Photo of Best Western Hospitality House new york city hotelmight have given it a bit of spit and polish and new furnishings, though it does look a bit dowdy. The location is a great selling point, convenient to all businesses and attractions in Midtown and the neighborhood shops, restaurants and pubs along Turtle Bay's 2nd Avenue. You can walk to just about anywhere in Midtown you would like from here and, if you must go a distance, nearby Grand Central Terminal and other convenient subway and bus connections will whisk you anywhere in the City and beyond
