What Susie says about the Millennium UN Plaza New York City hotelSusie Says  Very Continental. Very cosmopolitan. Formerly the Regal UN Plaza, this full-service-plus hotel caters to business and diplomatic folk during the week and pleasure travelers on weekends. It is very comfortable and the staff knows how to meet the requests of the most demanding guests -- and mid- to almost muckety-muck-level diplomats are the most demanding in the world. If you are in town to mix business and pleasure this is a good choice -- you can zip (hopefully) down the FDR Drive to Wall Street, or jump in a cab and hop across town to the Theater District. For those who prefer to walk, heck, this is a walking Photo of Millennium UN Plaza New York City hotel guest room town, nothing is really that far away: 20 minutes can take you to Gramercy Park or the Theater District or 5th Avenue and Central Park. There really is not that much reason to leave the hotel as everything you can possibly need is right there for your use. The hotel's Ambassador Grill has long been a neighborhood favorite for dinner and a great weekend brunch. You can rub elbows with in the bar with diplomatic and consular officials around the world, or run into them in one of the many neighborhood eateries and pubs along 1st and 2nd Avenues
