What Susie says about the Days Inn, a New York City hotelSusie Says  Rooms at the Days Inn Hotel are exactly what you would expect from this chain with no surprises: clean, functional, not very roomy. Intended for the tourist traveler it does just what it's supposed to: Give folks a halfway nice, kind of modern place to stay in the heart of New York City at a decent price. It doesn't offer a lot in the way of services and amenities but, Hey! You're in New York, if it isn't at the hotel it's probably only a few steps away in one of the many shops lining the City's streets

The Days Hotel has always had a good reputation with New Yorkers, recommended to friends and family as a nice, economical place to stay. The downturn in tourism the past few years caused many hotels to cut corners. This one was no exception and suffered many bad comments and reviews. I'm glad to say that it's coming back. Staff has been bulked up and in early 2004 they started to again spiff the place up. Now if they would only bring back the rooftop pool!

We've always been treated very nicely by the Days Hotel staff, whether visiting the pool in the old days, booking a room to take refuge from a string of 100+ degree days or, lately, just stopping by for a look see. The staff we've had contact with are very friendly, very courteous and very helpful

The biggest selling point, besides usually great rates, is the location, just steps, literally steps, from Broadway theaters. The hotel is especially convenient to all the great restaurants and nightlife spots on Restaurant Row; you can't complain about not being able to find a place to eat, have a cocktail or enjoy some world class cabaret. You can walk to just about all the Midtown Manhattan sights and attractions and nearby subway and bus stops will take you anywhere else you need to go in NYC

Rates  $209.95 to $479.95
