What Susie says about the Regency, a New York City hotelWhat do you do when the hotel you operate is already one of the finest in New York City? Well, the folks at the Regency seem to think you sink a few million bucks into it, spiff up the rooms and make it even better. We can throw around words like deluxe, elegant, luxurious; the Regency lives up to all of those and much more. You're served by a highly professional staff that delivers simply impeccable service. You want for it, they got it and will deliver (you're on Park Avenue after all). From the time you enter the marbled lobby you kind of know that you're in for a special experience. Antiques and tapestries give the place a very upscale warm and welcoming feel. The newly-remodeled guest rooms have been updated in look, they're a bit more contemporary than they had been. Luxurious -- there's that word again -- furnishings and trimmings are used throughout, velvet, Photo of Regency New York hotel guest roommahogany, leather, the best bed linens. The photo doesn't at all do justice to the overall look of the room, but does give a good idea of the spaciousness and light. You can start your day with a New York power breakfast in the 540 Park restaurant, have afternoon tea in the Library Lounge, dinner and a show at Feinstein's at the Regency and work it all off at the hotel's state-of-the-art fitness center. If you really have to leave the hotel there are many very fine restaurants and it's just a hop and a skip to great 5th Avenue, Madison Avenue and 57th Street shopping. We can say that nearby subway will take you just about anywhere in NYC you'd like to go, but if you can afford the Regency, you'll probably want to use their 24-hour limousine service
