Susie
Says In the late 1800s, Brooklyn's Park Slope
neighborhood was home to the burgeoning upper middle class that
enjoyed carriage rides through Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery.
B & B on the Park harks back to that time with accommodations in
an exquisitely preserved and decorated 1892 mansion. Your first
impression is grand, the front and rear parlors feature antiques and
works of art from the host's collection in a setting so true you
think you hear hansom cabs rattling by on cobblestones. The eight
rooms and suites are decorated in high-Victorian style with a
smattering of English- and French-garden thrown in for variety;
feather pillows and down comforters make these among the most
comfortable accommodations NYC has to offer. Breakfast is not a cup
of coffee and a cold croissant, but a full breakfast -- including
homemade bread -- served at the elegantly set table in the grand
Victorian dining room. B & B on the Park is a gem, just a true
New York gem
