What Susie says about International Student Center New York City hostelSusie Says  The International Student Center is just as its name implies, only for international students traveling to or through New York City. The cosmopolitan make-up of the hostel's guests is reflected in its neighborhood right in the middle of the eclectic Upper West Side. People of all nationalities from all walks of life stroll Broadway and the adjacent avenues (though it has seemed for years as if the yuppies were taking over, many old stalwarts remain). There are many inexpensive places to grab a bite to eat or buy groceries and ll typical neighborhood services are close at hand. Central Park is 1/2 block east; the Museum of Natural History 9 blocks south with Lincoln Center about 13 blocks farther on; Columbia University and City College are a short bus or subway ride north. And nearby subway makes it a zip to Midtown Manhattan or anyplace else in the City
