Highlights

Hands-on experiences are the hallmark
of the Children's Museum of Manhattan as it continually changes and
reinvents its five floors of activity space to constantly challenge
kids to explore the world around them and give them exciting new,
fun and creative ways to learn
Some current featured activities
include Little West Side, where kids get to explore and
improve their "everyday" skills. City Splash (reopening April
2006), is a bit more involved than opening a city fire hydrant. Why
do boats float...How does a water wheel work...are just a couple of
questions kids will explore the answers to
Creativity and the visual arts are an
important component of the Children's Museum programs. Kids are
exposed to a multitude of media, from stamp-art, to Playdough to
computer digitized images. The Museum also incorporates story
telling, dance and music in its program with a variety of
kid-focused performances each month
