New York's Shea Stadium
isn't great for baseball, isn't great for football and started
falling apart in the early 80s. A new one is (supposedly) in the works

Shea Stadium is named in
honor of William A Shea, the New York city attorney who fought to
bring a National League baseball team back to the City to replace
the Dodgers and the Giants. The stadium, which might have only a
couple of years left in its life, is home to the New
York Mets. Note the team's colors; there's no coincidence that
they are Dodger blue and Giant orange
