Synopsis  There might not be "Seventy-Six Trombones" in the orchestra pit, but they do play in Harold Hill's heart as he leads the big parade down River City's Main Street. We happened to catch Robert Preston in the film version (he almost didn't get the role) in January and are eagerly awaiting the return of this definitive American musical to the Broadway boards

Notes  The original production of The Music Man opened December 19, 1957, at the Majestic Theater. Robert Preston and Barbara Cook starred. And don't you just love saying the name Iggie Wolfington?
