Synopsis A down at the heels nobleman has been living at a country estate and enjoying the high life, that is until the newly-married mistress of the manse returns home with her husband. This worries the threadbare nobleman as he's afraid he will be asked to vacate the premises. A well-to-do neighbor has his own reasons to embarrass the nobleman and urges him to partake of a bit too much liquid refreshment and to say a few words at a grand dinner. The tipsy nobleman says a few words alright, words that shock the neighbor and the rest of the dinner guests
