Synopsis  Think of Keeping up Appearances' Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced boo-KAY) transplanted to a not quite up to par Park Avenue household during the Great Depression of the 1930s. Her task? Organize a dinner party for some visiting English muckety-mucks in order that her guests, and especially herself, can bask in their shine

Notes  Dinner at Eight originally ran for 232 performances at the Music Box Theater. Directed by Kaufman, the show opened October 22, 1932. Appearing on the boards were Marguerite Churchill, Constance Collier, Paul Harvey and Cesar Romero. The only Broadway revival of the show was a 127-performance run at the Alvin Theater in 1966 featuring Arlene Francis, June Havoc, Darren McGavin and Walter Pidgeon
