Lieber and Stoller went Broadway, ABBA went
Broadway, then Billy Joel went Broadway. Now it's time for Elvis
Presley and all
of his writers to hit the Big Stem. First on our radar in March 2003
as Can't Help Falling in Love, the show features a bunch of
the King's hits including the title song (both old and new).
According to the Goodspeed
Opera House, where the show had a Spring 2004 run, it's not just
a revue-type compilation of hits. The story, according to press
release: "Somewhere in middle America one girl’s wish and a
surprise visit from a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing
stranger will lead a small town to discover the magic of romance and
the power of rock & roll"
