Synopsis A celebration of Ms Rivera's life in dance,
the importance of family, gypsy friends, and the choreographers with which she has worked
The Road to Broadway Ms
Rivera and Mr McNally have been trying to get together on a project
for a number of years and it looks like this turn might be the
charm, though not without some of the typical bumps along the way to
Broadway. Show was cast in March 2005 with rehearsals scheduled for
April and an out of town roadshow due to start June at California's
Ahmanson
Theater. Then on to the
Denver Center
for the Performing Arts with an eye to an October bow on
Broadway. A bit of money -- or lack of -- delayed the
show, then due to deb September 2005 at San Diego's
Old Globe Theater
with an eye toward New York for Spring 2006. Things change in this
whacky world as somebody must have come through with a bit
of cash, the show will come straight to Broadway after the San Diego
run, hitting the boards sometimes in November |
