Synopsis

The usual "growing into your own self, becoming your own woman and dealing with the issues of adulthood" monolog narrated by character Lisa Kron (coincidently played by Lisa Kron), is constantly interrupted by her mother, whose life and influences Ms Kron is trying to understand

Road to Broadway

Ms Kron has performed Well in various venues around the country over the past few years. The show's biggest push to Broadway came as a result of a Spring 2004 run downtown at the Public Theater, where it garnered multiple nominations for Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel and Outer Critic's Circle awards

Fun Stuff

How do big time Broadway actors get to the theater? You can find out by reading Jayne Houdyshell's blog. Along with notes on a too comfy La-Z-Boy recliner, Ms Houdyshell gives insights on the interpretation, rewriting, reinterpretation process involved in bringing a 'finished' show to Broadway
