The Road to Broadway
It sometimes takes a few years after
a play's initial regional or off-Broadway runs for it to reach the
Great White Way. In Talk Radio's case it took two decades,
twenty years, before it opened at the Longacre. The play premiered
at the long gone Portland Center for the Visual Arts back in 1985. I
then had a very successful run at New York's Public Theater from May
through November 1987. The play's author, Mr Bogosian, played Barry
Champlain

The 1988 film version was directed by
Oliver Stone and starred Eric Bogosian, with Alec Baldwin along as
Dan
On Television
Well, not really, though Eric
Bogosian, Stephanie March and Peter Herman have long associations
with the Law & Order franchise, Mr Bogosian with Criminal
Intent and Ms March and Mr Hermann with Special Victims Unit
