Synopsis

Four young men reunite at their high school football field one year after graduation. The original intent was to pull a prank on one of their ex-high school's athletic rivals. The night turns out differently than expected as revelations are made, doubts are voiced and confidences are breached

The Road to Broadway

Glory Days came to Broadway straight from its premiere at Virgina's Signature Theater in a January-February 2008 run. Also directed there by Mr Schaeffer, the original cast followed the show to NYC

What Happened?

This is much too hard a question for us to answer as we never got to use out tickets. The producers cited weak advance sales for their decision to close the show. Those weak sales, of course, were the result of weak word of mouth among preview audiences and and generally lukewarm to weak reviews. The general consensus appears to be that the show was rushed to Broadway without needed development work; it just wasn't ready for prime time
