Synopsis
Rock 'n' Roll, no, not a
history of the music that shaped the last half of the Twentieth
Century, nor a celebration of its artists. The play is concerned
with how, over those years, rock and roll helped shape the ideas of
young Czechs and their responses to Communist oppression
The Road to Broadway
The world premiere of Rock 'n'
Roll was at London's Royal Court Theater in June 2006. It later
transferred to the Duke of York's Theater where it closed in
February 2007 to prepare for its Broadway bow
The three principals from the
original production, Brian Cox, Sinead Cusack and Rufus
Sewell, followed the show and opened it at the Jacobs Theater
