Broadway Show History
At Hair's opening night at the
Biltmore
Theater on April 29, 1968, Diane Keaton was among the
enthusiastic ensemble, taking the Broadway stage for her first time
in a production that would go on to run for an astonishing (at that
time) 1,750 performances
The show has had one major revival prior to this current production,
in 1977, again at the Biltmore Theater. Not very well received, the
show played almost twice as many previews, 79, as regular run
performances, 43
