Synopsis
Ambitious. Skirt chaser. Opportunist. Schemer. Liar. That's our Pal Joey
Joey Evans wants his piece of 1930s Chicago, his own place to
showcase his talents as a dancer. Life appears to be good when he
meets young, attractive Linda. It gets even better when he meets
older and moneyed Vera. And it's at its very best when Vera
bankrolls his dream and Chez Joey opens
And from there it all goes downhill. There's a bit of blackmail, two
women have a heart-to-heart, Chez Joey is closed. And our pal is off
to chase another skirt

Notes
This production was originally slated to be on the boards Fall 2007
but was postponed for "personal and professional, not financial"
reasons. When we first listed the show as an
On the Way (Maybe) back in 2005, Hugh
Jackman's name was loosely attached, as was choreographer Matthew
Bourne
