Broadway Show History
The 834-performance run of the
original Ragtime production hit the boards at the Ford
Center on January 18, 1998. Peter Friedman, Mark Jacoby, Marin
Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Judy Kaye were
among the very strong cast.
The show was nominated for 12
1998 Tonys®.
It won for book, score, orchestrations and best featured actress (Ms
McDonald)
