Synopsis
Joey and Denny are Chicago cops,
partners and also friends. A Steady Rain contrasts the men's
personalities and their responses and reactions to and descriptions
of the same situations. One man is a drunk, one is a racist. One
cheats on his wife, one loves the other's wife. One's son is shot up
during a drive-by shooting, the other pursues the shooter. There's a
violent pimp, a killer who eats his victims and a woman who keeps
her baby in a sock drawer. Oh, and it uses words like "gazunga"
Both men are disillusioned In the Movies
A film version of A Steady Rain
is said to be in the works for release in 2012, produced by Barbara
Broccoli and Michael G Wilson, both of the James Bond films
Notes
Reviews for this production have been
a bit spotty, so what it might most be remembered for is the
Wednesday night in September when Mr Jackson chastised an audience
member whose cellphone had gone off -- all the while staying in
character. You can catch a vid over on
TMZ Ya' think maybe he just didn't
care for the guy's ringtone? |
