Would your strip for money? Take all your clothes off on the stage of a fully-packed Roseland Ballroom? Each year a heck of a lot of folks do (well, some almost do), in Broadway Bares, where the star players and gypsies of the Great White Way strut their stuff in support of Broadway Cares/EFA, with little -- or nothing -- on

Director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell got the idea for Broadway Bares back in 1991. He was among eight dancers who performed at a bar in "rotation" to garner eight thousand bucks for Broadway Cares. The take has risen over the years, with Bares 14 in 2004 raking in more than five hundred grand

The show has morphed over the years. From eight guys dancing on a bar back in '91, it is no longer a "Hey, let's put on a show," but an elaborate presentation with scripted pieces; acrobatics; vocal presentations; dance, dance and more dance; and still, of course, the "rotation"

The theme for the 19th running is CLICK IT. Scheduled to appear -- but with no promises as to what you might or might not see --  are some of the hottest lights on Broadway, and gypsies from all over. Announced to date are Daniel Reichard, Heidi Blickenstaff, Sutton Foster, Allison Janney, Kevin Chamberlain, Norm Lewis
