Broadway Flea Market

A Special Broadway Event

Sunday September 27 2009  10:00A to 7:00P

Shubert Alley 44th & 45th Streets between 7th & 8th Avenues

Information Broadway Flea Market | 212-840-0770

How'd you like to have a walk-on part in your favorite Broadway show? Well, you can. All you have to do is walk yourself over to Shubert Alley when Broadway Cares sponsors its annual Broadway Flea Market. The walk-on will probably set you back more than five grand, but there are many, many affordable items and tschotchkes to purchase

Think of the Broadway Flea Market as a street fair held in Shubert Alley. There are usually 50 or so tables and booths selling a variety of Broadway-related items, including poster, books, memorabilia, programs, craft items and even munchies. Booths are manned by folks from Broadway shows, stage-related unions and businesses, production companies, fan clubs -- all of the theater world helps out

The highlights of the Flea Market are the Celebrity Table, where for a small fee you can get autographs from and say Hi! to some of the Broadway greats. The Grand Auction starts at 5:00P and this is where the real action is. Here's where you'll find that walk-on role in a hit musical, a special ticket package, or a backstage visit with a star, or entry to an opening night party

This is a very popular event and it gets pretty crowded, so if you want to grab an autograph or have the in on the choicest loot, be sure to get there early
