This first production
of Broadway Under the Stars to take place in Central Park is
going to honor the work of director and producer Hal
Prince. As always, it's going to be a star-studded, toe-tapping,
swinging to the music event. Folks scheduled to be on hand this
year include
Michael Cerveris, John Cullum, Christine Ebersole, Sutton
Foster, Shuler Hensley, Brian d'Arcy James, Jane Krakowski
Rebecca Luker, Bebe Neuwirth and members of the cast from
Jersey Boys. The
action will be directed by Jeff Calhoun, choreographed by Chase
Brock, with Phil Reno returning to again conduct the orchestra
And just recently announced are Michael Arden, Carolee Carmello,
Kevin Clay, Manoel Felciano, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Donna McKechnie,
Matthew Morrison, Kelli O'Hara, Anika Noni Rose, Elaine Stritch and
Lee Ann Womack
Looks like it might be a wet evening. Let's hope that it dries out
as there is no announced rain date
