Special Broadway Events
You don't always have to go to a Broadway
theater to see some of your favorite performers and enjoy some of
the best song and dance in New York City. Some events are free, to
stimulate tourism and attendance at Broadway shows. Others are
ticket-based and the take goes to a variety of good causes
Throughout the year Every Broadway
show has an added performance each year to benefit the Actors'
Fund. These are the ones to catch
February Much tamer than the
"Bares" event. Bid on a stylish teddy for a good cause
March thru June A series of
concerts at Town Hall featuring musical numbers from hits of
past years
Late May, early June A special
outdoor event held the Wednesday before the Tonys each year
June The stars and chorus folks
"take it all off" for a good cause
June A special outdoor concert held each year in Bryant Park
July A special event hosted by
Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore to promote the adoption
of sheltered cats and dogs
July thru August A series of
outdoor lunchtime musical concerts featuring the best of
Broadway and Off-Broadway
