Information Stars in the Alley

Stars in the Alley is a special outdoor Broadway event held each year on the Wednesday before the Tony Awards®

And guess what? It's FREE!

Yep, free. It's a great way to enjoy some of the best Broadway has to offer. Enjoy excerpts from straight plays and listen to hit musical numbers that will keep your toes a-tappin' all day long. The show starts at 11:00A and usually draws a few thousand people. Try to get there by about ten-ish or so to find a spot with a halfway decent view

Performers from 20 shows are currently scheduled to appear this year. As usual, everything is subject to change.

Awake and Sing, Avenue Q, The Color Purple, The Drowsy Chaperone, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Doubt, Faith Healer, Hairspray, The History Boys, Jersey Boys, The Light in the Piazza, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Mamma Mia!, Monty Python's Spamalot, The Phantom of the Opera, The Producers, Rent, Shining City, Sweeney Todd, The Wedding Singer, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Wicked

Lucie Arnaz, Kate Burton, Sutton Foster, Judy Kaye, Darlene Love, Ian McDiarmid, Cynthia Nixon, Oliver Platt and Jonathan Pryce are among those stars who have been announced to appear

More to come!
